{"id":2368,"date":"2020-11-20T17:25:24","date_gmt":"2020-11-20T07:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hawthornegarage.com.au\/?p=2368"},"modified":"2020-11-20T17:25:24","modified_gmt":"2020-11-20T07:25:24","slug":"grandmas-summer-berry-trifle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawthornegarage.com.au\/grandmas-summer-berry-trifle\/","title":{"rendered":"Grandma\u2019s Summer Berry Trifle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Serves 8-10<\/p>\n<p>Prep time 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>170g La Casa Del Formaggio<\/li>\n<li>Mascarpone Cheese<\/li>\n<li>60g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>750ml Norco Thickened Cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>450g store bought sponge or<\/li>\n<li>Madeira cake, cut into pieces<\/li>\n<li>1kg of mixed seasonal fruits (we used strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and peaches)<\/li>\n<li>60ml orange or cranberry juice<\/li>\n<li>600g vanilla custard<\/li>\n<li>50g sliced almonds, toasted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Beat the mascarpone and sugar using an electric mixer on medium until combined. Add 250ml cream and vanilla, beat until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate bowl, beat 500ml thickened cream and icing sugar using an electric mixer on medium until soft peaks form.
