{"id":278,"date":"2018-07-27T22:31:10","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T12:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hawthornegarage.socialtap.com.au\/?p=278"},"modified":"2018-07-30T16:26:54","modified_gmt":"2018-07-30T06:26:54","slug":"festive-green-bean-salad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawthornegarage.com.au\/festive-green-bean-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Festive Green Bean Salad"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>400g green beans, ends\u00a0 chopped off<\/li>\n<li>1 red onion \u2013 sliced into slivers<\/li>\n<li>1 punnet red grape tomatoes,\u00a0 cut into 1\/2s<\/li>\n<li>1 cup walnuts<\/li>\n<li>1 cup feta, crumpled<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd bunch basil leaves<\/li>\n<li>Dressing:<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 4 tbsp. balsamic glaze 1 lemon, juiced and grated rind 1 clove garlic \u2013 minced \u00bd bunch basil \u2013 finely chopped 2 tsp sea salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Start with boiling water in a large saucepan. In the meantime, place iced water in a large mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Once water is boiling, cook beans for 2 minutes. Drain immediately and place in iced water to cool.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl add olive oil, balsamic glaze, lemon juice, rind, garlic, chopped basil and salt. Stir well until combined.<\/li>\n<li>Drain beans completely. In a salad serving bowl, combine beans, onion, tomatoes \u00bd cup walnuts and \u00bd cup feta. Drizzle half of dressing into salad a toss well.<\/li>\n<li>Add remaining \u00bd cup walnuts, \u00bd cup feta and whole basil leaves on top of salad. Drizzle remaining dressing over top of the salad.<\/li>\n<li>Serve immediately.
